Broadcasters have been looking for a sophisticated solution to the “blending” problem that is created when mobile receivers need to switch between HD Radio and analog due to signal degradation.
Using the precise measurements provided by industry leading modulation monitors such as Belar’s FMHD1 and Audemat’s Golden Eagle, Precision Delay allows a station to set, and adjust when necessary, the exact delay required on their analog chain to ensure a smooth transition in and out of HD Radio reception.
Once again, 25-Seven has listened to its customers and addressed their most pressing concerns. And once again, 25-Seven has used its expertise in audio algorithms and simple-to-understand user interface design to create a product that fits perfectly into the contemporary broadcast station.
Precision Delay allows a station to adjust to sample level accuracy delays ranging from fractional seconds required for broadcast repeater synchronization to multiple hours for time zone management of program distribution. Use of flash drives means no “crashing” hard drive concerns.
Consistent with other 25-Seven products, AES digital, balanced analog and Livewire IP audio are standard. A user adjustable ramping function means that build and exit transitions are always smooth. PAD data stays synchronized with program content and PPM encoding is unaffected.
A built-in web server means that password protected browser control over all functions is available anywhere there is Internet access.
